Who We Are

Lyle B. McCormick Jr., CEO

Lyle is an international expert in helping organizations develop and implement improvement programs for maintenance and operations at the plant level. These programs, include maintenance planning and scheduling, preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, total productive maintenance and stores. He is also an expert in helping organization plan for new facilities and improve utilization of existing facilities used for manufacturing and assembly operations.

Lyle has been a consultant for 17 years and prior to that was a line manager in industry for 14 years. He knows how to solve problems. He has broad expertise customizing solutions for many different types of organizations. He is comfortable working with professional and technical people with varying degrees of experience and skill levels. He is a widely recognized expert in making change occur effectively in the most efficient way possible.

Lyle consulted almost exclusively for E.I. DuPont from 1980-1991. He helped to develop and implement many of their World-Class plant maintenance programs. Many of these plants have now adopted the Total Productive Maintenance concept (TPM) and have been certified as complying with ISO 9000.

Some of the companies and governments Lyle has consulted for include Delta Refining Company; RCA; Cities Service Company; SKF Industries, Inc. Union Camp Paper Co.; Caterpillar Tractor Co. Harnischferger, Crane, Inc.; At&T, Unisea, Heinz USA, Alabama State Docks, Martin Marietta, Guam Power Company, Renison Goldfields (Australia), Alcoa (Jamaica), The United States Department of Energy and Defense and Chinese American Petrochemical (Taiwan).

For the past 15 years Lyle has spoken on Maintenance and Materials Management for The American Management Association at their meetings in the United States, Canada and Mexico. He authored their "Maintenance Management" courses. His articles on improving maintenance appear in many plant engineering and manufacturing publications. Professional associations frequently seek him out as a keynote speaker on maintenance best practices.

Prior to founding Omega Consultants in the mid-1980's Lyle was a Vice President of The Emerson Consultants, an Industrial Engineer with Daniel Construction Co., and an Engineering Consultant with Ingersoll Manufacturing Management Program. He is also a certified management consultant (CMC). Lyle served 2 years active duty with the United States Army.

Steve's areas of expertise are Power Distribution, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Design, Proposals for new projects, Project Management, Scope of Work and Oversee Start-up & Check-out for final Project Completion.

Through Initial Concept design Steve's work enables Plant Management & approved Personel to work more efficiently, thus reducing downtime and increase productivity.

Some of the companies Steve has consulted for include Cargill Fertelizer, IMC Agrico, Tropicana, Minute Maid, Anchor Glass & International Paper.

Steve's educational background includes a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida
